A big thanks to Tony Longo and Nick Sudano from Condodomain.com and Anth/James and to John A. Keith from The Boston Real Estate Blog for welcoming us crazy Yanks in their wonderful spicy city. Thanks for living the blog tour with us. See you on Bloggerazzi TV.
After the Active Rain bash, we headed out of town and camped for the night in Connecticut. We woke early and headed north to visit our blog buddies Tony Longo, Nick Sudano and John Keith. The drive was just under 200 miles. Not bad.
Approaching the city, Boston appeared against a puff-clouded azure sky. Beautiful.
Tony and Nick of CondoDomain and Anth|James brokerage met us at their office on Newbury Street. Newbury is the Rodeo Drive of Boston. They greeted us with an enormous goodie bag containing all the essential for 2 guys on a cross-country drive in an RV–music CDs, hand sanitzer, munchies, air freshner and of course, water pistols. These guys even gave us our own personalized Blog Tour USA caps. The guys then gave us a guided tour of Boston.
We enjoyed lunch at the Barking Crab. Since John Keith knows the Boston market, I followed his lead and ordered the fried scallops. Delicious. Another reason to go with a pro– they know all the best stuff in town. And a guy’s gotta eat.
Where everyone knows your name
After we drove out of town, we realized we forgot to visit Cheers. So we made a u-turn on the I-93– you can do that right?– and went back to Beantown. We did find Cheers where we were greeted with a “N-O-R-M” welcome cheer.
We spent the rest of the day in front of the Library talking to consumers on the street, one of which educated us on the real estate market in Teheran, Iran. (Prices are rising. But be careful— there are no building codes in the country.).
Day 1 in Boston, the first city on our Blog Tour — a beautiful day, indeed.
