July 6, 2007. We drove from the Welcome Center just over the North Carolina border to Orlando, Florida today. A long haul. And some heavy rain.
We finally arrived in Orlando about 8 pm.
Columbia Restaurant
Thanks to Maureen McCabe of Columbus Best Blog, we arranged to meet Colleen Kulikowski of Celebration Florida Real Estate and Active Rain and Shaun McLane of Ekday and the popular blog best (and worst) dressed list—Posh’d.
Realty pondering
Colleen suggested the famed Columbia Restaurant in Celebration, Florida. What a great place to eat. The 1905 Salad was to live for. The family owned restaurant has a rich history dating back to, you guessed it, 1905. We shared a lively discussion on so many topics it would take a week of blog posts to summarize it. We talked on Zillow, Active Rain, Orlando real estate, marketing and, of course, blogging. We heard tales of the two headed monster putting the hurt on the Florida housing market—-property taxes and insurance.— and the inability of the State to slay it.

We broke camp at 2:00 a.m. We slept in the RV a few blocks from the restaurant. The Celebration police did not disturb our repose. Thank Disney.
We were unable to determine if Mickey Mouse blogs.
