When you hit the road, you’re often left to choose between the fast-food emporiums on the Interstate or some random “looks like a nice place to eat” restaurant. But thanks to the wisdom of the hungry crowd , you can make an educated choice. So which sites do chowhounds use?
Well, there is my old favorite Chowhound. A food lovers forum.
There’s also Roadfood.com. I found them while I was at the library (you know, that place where people used to go for information) researching travel guides for the Tour. Of course, food resources are a top priority. Jane & Michael Stern’s Roadfood is a coast-to-coast guide to the best barbeque joints, lobster shacks, ice cream parlors, highway diners and hot dog havens. It’s the blue collar Zagats.
